About Allison

My practice is located in Clarinbridge, South County Galway and I live in County Clare with my family, nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Burren and the Atlantic Ocean. I discovered Craniosacral Therapy over 24 years ago when I brought my first child for treatments. He was experiencing recurring chest issues, skin problems and an unsettled sleep pattern. Despite trying all medical options, the issues persisted without resolve. After just a few sessions of Craniosacral Therapy, I was intrigued and relieved as I observed my son’s symptoms gradually ease and eventually dissipate completely. I began to have regular treatments myself and found the work supported deep healing and transformation around past traumas in my own life.

I was then working in the civil service for many years, however, interwoven with this career was an ever-present curiosity and interest to research ways in which to support the natural healing process in myself and my family. My experience with my son’s very positive outcome ignited the deep passion within me to begin and pursue my path as a healer.

I was very fortunate to study and train with two inspiring international teachers and when I completed, I set up my practice. Alongside the running of my thriving clinic work, I joined the tutor team for foundation training over a four year period. This afforded me the opportunity to share my knowledge, experience and love for this work with students which was so rewarding. Craniosacral Therapy has continued to be a constant resource for both myself and my family through many significant life changes.

As a mother of three and having experienced three very different birthing journeys, I know only too well how pregnancy and birth can take its toll on the body. Following the birth of my two younger children, Craniosacral Therapy accelerated my own recovery and that of my babies. This created the conditions for a greater settling and ease in the bonding process allowing my babies to thrive on all levels. I found the benefits of this work were profound, so much so that it provoked my commitment to help nurture the health of new mothers, their babies and families particularly following birth. Intertwined in my ever-evolving practice is the constant impetus to expand my knowledge in prenatal, perinatal and postnatal work through continuous personal development in the cranial field.
